Sonya and Garret were originally scheduled to have their wedding ceremony and reception at the Great Room at Historic Savage Mill on July 5th, 2020 for about 100 guests but due to Covid-19, they were not comfortable hosting a wedding so large due to health & safety concerns. Instead, Sonya and Garret moved to one of our other locations just down the street, the Historic Savage Mill Manor and with just 10 family members socially distanced apart they held their ceremony outside on our patio. At the conclusion of their ceremony, they incorporated a ‘Corona Toast’ to signify that even a pandemic wasn’t going to keep them from getting married.
Once they moved inside our beautiful ballroom for their reception, Sonya and Garett displayed their love for Tim Burton’s “Nightmare before Christmas” by incorporating the themed cupcake toppers and playing cards as favors.
The Historic Savage Mill Manor House is an ideal place for elopements, minimonies and microweddings. Food and beverages provided by Putting On The Ritz Catering. Please contact us at 301-725-4220 to schedule an appointment to view the space.
