Historic Savage Mill Manor House
Savage, MD
This charming manor house built in 1844 hints of another era. A spacious bridal room and handsome groom’s room allow couples to prepare for a romantic garden ceremony under our enchanting gazebo, and the indoor ballroom is ideal for an intimate reception, private dinner, or corporate meeting. Guests also enjoy access to the first floor of the manor, which incorporates original and restored crown molding, hardwood floors, and other decorative elements. Accommodates up to 110 guests.
The Great Room
Historic Savage Mill, MD
In 1820, Amos Williams and his three brothers borrowed $20,000.00 from their friend John Savage to start a textile weaving business on the banks of the Little Patuxent River. The water from the river flowed over a huge 30 foot water wheel which powered the machines that wove the cloth. Today, the historic complex of buildings with over 175,000 square feet is now home to major collector quality antique centers, home furnishing stores, craft galleries, artist studios, specialty shops, destination restaurants and banquet facilities like the Great Room.
