1840’s Plaza

The 1840’s Plaza consists of several prominent historic structures in the heart of Baltimore’s Museum Row. The complex is a designated Baltimore city landmark and serves as a reception site, banquet facility, conference hall, museum site and boutique inn.

Visitors are welcomed to 1840’s Plaza by landscaped courtyard gardens, ideal for cocktail receptions or outdoor wedding ceremonies. Located in the iron-fronted Fava Building, are three unique venues available for private parties, wedding receptions, meetings and conferences.

The fourth floor 1840’s Ballroom features incredible 8-foot tall windows offering sweeping panoramic views of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and surrounding area, providing a stunning backdrop for any celebration or special event. With elegant chandeliers, custom velvet draperies, a mahogany and stained glass English Pub bar and hand-painted murals of historic Baltimore, the 1840’s Ballroom is a registered authentic Baltimore venue.

1840’s City Lites is an exciting new event location on the second floor of the Fava Building. City Lites boasts lounge-like atmosphere complete with overstuffed couches and the historic White Tower Diner, a centerpiece attraction when the building housed the Baltimore City Life Museums. This unique reception facility is ideal for cocktail parties, wedding receptions, networking events, fundraisers, mitzvahs and other private and corporate events.
