Lauren and Jahmari's Elegant Carnegie Library Wedding

The Carnegie Library, an historic venue dating back to the 1800’s played host to Lauren and Jahmari wedding reception on April 22^nd, 2017.

The Library was a perfect choice for this classic affair because the couple personified both class and elegance. Their relationship is a throw-back to earlier times where the man courts the women over time, and finally asks the Father of the Bride for his approval before proposing to his lovely Bride-to-be.

Lauren and Jahmari met at George Washington University where Lauren plays on the Basketball team. In fact, the entire team was present at their reception, along with Laurens sorority sisters.

The menu that Lauren and Jahmari chose for their special day was an eclectic mix of traditional and modern with a few different twists thrown in. The Cocktail Hour included a BBQ Shrimp & Grits station and a Gourmet Grilled Cheese Station, and our famous Petite Chicken and Waffles.

When the guests sat down for dinner they enjoyed a wonderful Balsamic & Strawberry Spinach Salad. After the amazing best man speech and blessing the guests were released to enjoy a variety of different stations including; Hand carved Turkey Breast with our world famous Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Mahi Mahi Taco station, and a mini beef and mini crab cake slider station.
