Elizabeth and Michael’s Spring Wedding at Gramercy Mansion
Gramercy Mansion was the perfect setting to host Elizabeth and Michael’s recent wedding and reception with about 70 close family and friends. Putting on the Ritz had the privilege of providing catering for this lovely event.
Although it was the end of March, the couple were hopeful they would be able to have an outdoor ceremony utilizing Gramercy Mansion’s beautiful garden. Mother Nature did not disappoint. The temperature reached the low 70’s as spring and love were both in bloom that afternoon. Lana from Fleur de Lis Florist did a beautiful job highlighting the romantic and natural setting.
As guests re-entered Gramercy Mansion, they were met with Putting on the Ritz’s stationary market display in addition to hot buffalo chicken dip and bbq meatballs. A bar was set up in the library so guests could enjoy cocktails before finding their tables for dinner. Putting on the Ritz helped Liz and Michael plan a delicious buffet menu featuring Athens chicken, char-grilled sides of salmon with their guests’ choice of sauces, fusilli Palermo with sliced mushrooms and artichoke hearts and a carving station featuring pit beef. Since this was a family affair, the couple also provided children’s meals featuring chicken tenders with macaroni and cheese and applesauce.
Following dinner, guests could choose from different flavors of wedding cake that Putting on the Ritz cut and set out on a dessert table in Gramercy’s dining room. Guests were able to help themselves to cake and coffee throughout the rest of the evening.
Kelly Brittingham was the couple’s wedding coordinator and showed why she is, indeed, The Wedding Ninja as she was in charge of everything from the wedding rings to the favors at the end of the evening. DJ AJ Smith kept the party going throughout the evening and there were even board and video games available for those guests not willing to show off their moves on the dance floor.
Gramercy Mansion could not have been a more perfect location for the start of Liz and Michael’s new life together and everyone at Putting on the Ritz was honored to be a part of their celebration.
